After the second scan, the launch agents and daemons will still be there instead of being removed or disabled like they should be.Īlso, we haven’t found an option to save the changes we’ve made (e.g., disable startup items, remove authorized plugins), nor an option that allows us to enable the Remove some disabled login items button to be greyed out. This can be easily verified by disabling several of them after scanning the startup items enabled on the Mac, closing the applications, and rescanning the system. Still needs some work to properly disable most startup items It’s worth mentioning that while it’s designed to help you disable logins other than applications configured to start automatically on startup, the Startup Manager app doesn’t actually disable startup daemons created with launchd or the authorization plugin program or agent, despite its interface indicating that it does so when the disable toggle button is clicked.
